Response Papers
Your response essay should be 1-2 pages typewritten (12pt).
Include your
name and number your response.
Include your reaction to the assigned reading, not a plot
summary.
Make connections to personal experiences, news items, cultural
phenomena, or other points of historical or contemporary
interest.
You may choose to write about one text or many from that
day’s assigned reading.
Respond only to texts not already discussed in class.
These essays should help you generate paper ideas and topics
for class discussions. You may also ask questions to help
clarify the texts.
