University of Toledo Students Dominate National Sales Competition Following up on our recent dominance at the regional Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) sales competition where UT ESSPS students took the top three places, our students continued their run of excellence by capturing five of the top ten places including 1st (Jessica Hood) and 4th place (Steve McKinney). Emily Strayer, Dana Shea, and Elliot Tiernay were the other UT ESSPS students who placed in the top ten nationally. Fifteen students from The University of Toledo’s Edward H. Schmidt School of Professional Sales (ESSPS) traveled to Irvine, CA during the last week of March to participate in the Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) National Conference. PSE is an honorary fraternity for college students majoring in marketing and sales. Part of the conference centered on a sales competition (“The Pro-Am”) where over 70 students from universities nationwide competed for top honors of best sales call roleplay. During the competition, each student had 10 minutes to make a sales call on a buyer with the goal to sell Vector Marketing Cutco knives. Students were judged on their sales call introduction, needs analysis, product benefits demonstration, and closing skills. Way to go UT Team!!!
