Phonics is essential to beginning learners because by knowing how to pronounce a
letter is a basic first step to learn a new language. It will make progress for learners
to learn how to to pronounce a word , extent to sentence and paragraph and be able
to speak and communicate well with this language. Its a fundamental step that
cannot be missed.
2. What is phonics? What are the components of phonics?
When we read, the sounds are represented by 26 letters of the alphabet. Associating
sounds with letters of the alphabet is called phonics.
The components of phonics is vowels and consonants .
3. Please give an example of phonics activity that Ross applied in the class.
Example of phonics activity :- repetition after teacher by using different rhythm.
- teacher pronounce a word and student guess the spelling.
-using action and body language to give strong impression.
4. How to teach vocabulary? What are the components of vocabulary that we teach
students?
Ways to teach vocabulary :Teach the pronunciation of this vocabulary , explain the meaning of it, how to spell ,
what is the grammar label and teach how to use this vocabulary with others
vocabulary together.
