Introduction to Dr.Bob’s questions
Hello everyone –
Past classes have suggested I post some questions to spark a discussion. Therefore, I will
post some questions to discuss and consider. You are welcome to discuss some, all, or
none of my questions. My preference is that you come up with your own questions to
discuss based on your own interests related to particular topics being discussed in the
class.
Here are some items I would like to mention regarding my input.
1. The postings are primarily for student interaction on topics of concern to you.
Therefore, I consider my input as secondary back-up topics to consider either if it is
something you have not thought about before that is interesting to you, or if you cannot
think of a topic to discuss.
2. My questions will not be “academic” questions with a correct answer to look up.
Instead, they will be questions or other items students may want to ask, but are
uncomfortable doing so, and my asking will give some type of permission to discuss
things that may not usually be covered.
3. My experience has been that when I answer or comment on my own questions, it tends
to be seen as the “correct” answer, and reduces further discussion. Therefore, I will not
necessarily answer or comment of what I put up for discussion. These are designed to
create student discussion and interaction. However, I do read every posting.
General rules for posting:
1. You are free to discuss any topic you wish related to the class as long as it is
respectful to all members of the class, and makes a positive contribution to the class.
2. You are free to include as much (or as little) personal information as you wish.
3. Any postings discussed outside of class should never be attached to an individual
person’s name.
Have fun!!
Ask questions you may not want to ask directly.
Students’ “final thoughts” about posting from last quarter:
To give you an idea about the class, at the end of last quarter, one student posted a request (#1.)
for any final thoughts about the class from other students. Below are the original posting of final
thoughts, and all the responses of other students. The spelling and grammar has not been
changed.

1.As this class comes to a close, I was curious to see what people’s impressions were about this
class, the lectures and stories as well as new views and interpretation they have on sex and the
world we live in today. Has your perspectives changed? Did you learn anything new? Do you
appreciate the power of sex even more?
2. I really enjoy this class!!! I learn loads of things. Before i join this
class, i just know a lil bit about sex. And really taboo. But after this
i can knew so many things from masturbate is a good things to do ( to
explore our body ) and there are many ways to do it. I can learn
different perspectives about sex in different cultures. I can know a
varieties of relationships and how to develop it in a good way. What it
sex, how we do it and the benefits of sex in a relationship.
I believe sex has a big role and power in human's relationship. Sex can
make our relationship stronger. Sex makes our life become fancier =) I
think marriage life without sex is like a flower without a bee.
Thank you guys. I really appreciate and enjoy our shares of thoughts..
3.The thing that fascinated me most about this class was the discussion
between everyone. It's amazing to me that a bunch of strangers can talk
so openly about sex and their personal sex lives. I'm curious how things
are different in class, because I feel like maybe these discussions were
helped by the fact that they were online. I know personally I would not
be likely to talk about a lot of these things in a classroom setting. It
was really interesting to be able to hear people's different
perspectives on all the topics we were reading about and ones that we
weren't even reading about.
4.I also loved this class. I was a little nervous that I wouldn't be able
to get the full experience because the fact this class was online. Now
I think that it was quite the opposite. I know that I probably wouldn't
have been so open with my stories if I was sitting in a class room. I
enjoyed how open and intriguing everyone one was with discussion. I
hate to be cheesy, but it was like a breath of fresh air, to hear
everyone talk so openly. Not only that I can't believe how much I
learned! I feel like I've been living in a sex bubble before this
class. So in conclusion I loved the class and thank you all for sharing
all of your stories, they were awesome.
5. Like the rest of you guys, I really enjoyed this class. I also believe
that having the class online was a better experience because everyone
was able to open up so much. I definitely think it might have been a
little more awkward in a class setting. This was a really interesting
class and I really enjoyed hearing all the different perspectives and
ideas. Thanks you guys!
6. I learned a lot more about the human body than I knew. I enjoyed the
class a lot. I think that the book is great, and the lectures online
were very interesting and gave the class a personal touch. I think that
having this class online made it easier for people to communicate more
openly.
