Meet the Hosts
Kathy Greene has been a reporter and television host in Georgia
for eight years. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill, Kathy was hired as a news writer at the Greensboro, NC,
News and Record. She began doing on-air reporting at WFMY in
Greensboro shortly thereafter, which was followed by reporting
and hosting assignments in Charlotte and Atlanta. Kathy has
always enjoyed gardening as a hobby, so her hosting job with Georgia Gardens is
the perfect blend of her passion for garden and her journalistic skills.
A native of Georgia, Rob Tumlin grew up in a family with a love
of gardening. Merging his interest in the outdoors, gardening, and
design, Rob received a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape
Architecture from the University of Georgia. After working for
the U. S. Department of Agriculture for a while, a client suggested
that Rob use his communications skills to bring the joy of
gardening and landscaping to a wider audience. Rob began his
television career as the gardening expert on a local news program prior to joining
the staff of Georgia Gardens.
