A native of Georgia, Rob Tumlin grew up in a family with a love of gardening. Merging his interest in the outdoors, gardening, and design, Rob received a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia. After working for the U. S. Department of Agriculture for a while, a client suggested that Rob use his communications skills to bring the joy of gardening and landscaping to a wider audience. Rob began his television career as the gardening expert on a local news program prior to joining the staff of Georgia Gardens.
