1. Quiz: Explain how the Panopticon prison functions as a
laboratory. How does this function connect back to
surveillance/observation? (10min)
2. Homework:
 In groups of four, exchange papers, read, and
take note of the different ways your group
members approached this summary
assignment. What would you have done
differently based on their examples. (10 min)
 Once you have read and discussed each
summary, compose another one as a group.
 Each person will write just one sentence.
Once you have written your sentence, pass it
on to the next group member. At the end, you
should have a summary consisting of four
sentences. Thus, the object here is to distill
down, even further, the most important parts
of the plague section. Once you’ve finished,
write the collaborative summary on the
board.(10-15min)
