Princeton APSA Chapter Officer Application
Thank you for your interest in the Princeton Chapter of the American Physician
Scientists Association (APSA)! APSA is the largest organization specifically dedicated
to physician scientists in training, and has over a thousand members. We seek to
become a hub for all Princeton students interested in becoming physician scientists or
pursuing MD/PhDs, with the goal of improving opportunities for mentorship,
community building, and support. While all members will be able to access APSA
events and opportunities, as an officer, you will directly impact our future direction
and have the ability to decide our programming. Officers get priorities on
conferences, including travel to the national APSA conference in Chicago!
Please email your responses to Kevin Zhang (krzhang@princeton.edu) by 11:59 pm on
Friday, October 16. We look forward to hearing from you!
Available Positions
Treasurer: The treasurer will record and maintain the records of expenditures for the
Princeton chapter, including submission of forms necessary to request funds from both
the APSA national organization and Princeton University.
Webmaster: The webmaster will be responsible for maintaining the APSA chapter
webpage, as well as for using social media to publicize events.
Events Committee Member: As part of the events team, you’ll spearhead all of our
events – choosing who to invite, managing logistics, and coming up with other cool
(non-speaker) events. The bulk of what we do will be launching these events, and we
need your help!
General Officer: We all work together to bring speakers to campus, plan events, and
organize trips to conferences, and as a general officer, you’ll be able to help us with
all these activities.
