10. The programme aims to:





provide advanced post-graduate education of the highest standards;
provide high quality education in management in the wider context of the social
sciences;

11. Programme outcomes: knowledge and understanding; skills and other attributes
Students who have successfully completed the TRIUM Global Executive MBA will:
Programme Outcomes:
(1) possess a sophisticated introduction to core management issues, including finance,
accounting, marketing, change management, and operational and organisational design;
(2) be in a position to expand from a functionally specific to more general and senior
managerial role within their organisation;
(3) be prepared to anticipate the needs of the global corporate community and to lead their
organisations through times of great change and excitement.
Knowledge and understanding:
(1) be able to identify and integrate knowledge of the social and political context into their
managerial decisions;
(2) have a greater understanding quantitative and qualitative methods for describing and
investigating business-relevant decisions.
Skills and other attributes:
(1) have the ability to design and independently execute a complete business plan on an
approved subject of their own choice;
(2) have the ability to apply acquired knowledge to new problems and contexts.
12. Teaching, learning and assessment strategies to enable outcomes to be achieved
and demonstrated
Teaching and learning strategies:
Teaching method comprises lectures, seminars, group-based case studies. Students are
particularly encouraged to actively participate in their learning through extensive use of
problem solving in teams and group presentations. Students are supported by an Academic
Director at each Alliance School and by a Assistant Dean and Deputy Assistant Dean of the
programme. The programme involves the creation of a final ‘strategic project’. This is a
group-based project and is supported by meetings and both oral and written feedback
throughout the programme.
Students are expected to supplement formal contact hours by extensive unsupervised
reading, preparation for seminars and essay writing. They also engage in extensive group
work between residential modules. Reading lists are provided electronically where possible
(books are usually hard copy). Course guides, lecture handouts, and presentations are
provided in both hard copy and electronically. In many cases, audio and/or video
reproductions of the lectures are available on the student portal.
Assessment strategies:
Students are assessed in each course across all modules. Assessment involves written
examinations and/or extended essays. Written feedback on student performance is provided
after each graded portion of the programme.
The students’ final project is evaluated in two phases - a written report of approximately
40,000 words and a oral presentation to a ‘stragetic project board’ made up of the Academic
Directors and external, non-academic members of the business community. Formal,
formative feedback on the strategic project is given three times during the degree.

14. Criteria for admission to the programme
To be eligible for the TRIUM Global Executive MBA programme, applicants must have a
minimum of 10 years of work experience. If a student has less than 15 years of work
experience, they are required to submit GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test)
results with their application forms. Successful applicants will have significant international
business experience and an undergraduate degree. All non-native English speakers are
required to submit TOEFL results with their applications.

16. Methods for evaluating and improving the quality and standard of teaching and
learning





Student feedback is collected after each course in the programme;
Student feedback and course design and delivery are discussed by a committee of the
Academic Directors, chaired by the Assistant Dean, after each module. Student
evaluations are also reported as part of regular post-module reports to a Vice Dean’s
Board (made up of a Vice-Dean level representative from each Alliance School). Staffing
decisions are significantly affected by student feedback;
Student feedback meetings, facilitated through elected student representatives, are held
at each module;
Pre and post-programme student evaluations of the programme are carried out for each
course. The results are fed back into the curriculum design process in the regular
Academic Director’s meetings;
