This Friday, October 10th is COLLEGE DAY at Los Altos High School which means that we’re asking YOU and YOUR
TEACHERS to wear your college shirts or sweatshirts – in your case where you’d like to go or simply what you think is a cool
school. It’s a day to think about what you’d like to get out of your college experience. Have you thought about what you’d like
to major in? Are you willing to travel to the other side of the country? Are you OK with below freezing weather or do you
want warm weather throughout the year? Large or small? Super social or super serious? Lots of fun things to think about!
What do your parents think about your college criteria? It’s not too early to start the dialog! To celebrate the day, we’ve
ordered lots of cookies! Come to the College and Career Center this Friday at lunchtime for a delicious homemade cookie. If
you’ve never been here, it’s time to start coming! You are always welcome to drop in or to set up an appointment with me to
discuss your college/career journey or just to come and study.
SENIORS: If you are planning on applying to a college that requires a counselor letter of recommendation, remember that
your packets are due to your counselor by Monday, October 13th. Please see your counselor if you have any questions!
