OSA 15-101
WHEREAS: The Oshkosh Student Association (OSA) is committed to ensuring communication
between the organization and students continue to remain strong; and
WHEREAS: The Marketing Ambassador in conjunction with the marketing committee is tasked
with through promoting awareness of OSA activities to the campus and community through the
use of poster development and developing marketing strategies to gain maximum participation
for various events and initiatives sponsored by OSA; and
WHEREAS: The leadership of the Marketing Ambassador is critical to providing direction of the
Committee and developing those strategies; and
WHEREAS: Currently the Marketing Ambassador is not compensated by OSA but receives a
small monetary amount from her role as USA Today Ambassador; and
WHEREAS: The compensation of the Marketing Ambassador is an issue that requires attention
due to the amount of duties and responsibilities outlined in the role; and
WHEREAS: Adequate compensation of the Marketing Ambassador will reflect the duties and
responsibilities that will attract and retain students to effectively perform the role; and
WHEREAS: The Oshkosh Student Association Constitution Article IV, Section 3, (c) (5)
requires the OSA President to submit a request to the Assembly and Senate to withdraw any
reserve funds from the OSA Reserve Account; and
BE IT RESOLVED; A request of $500 is asked to be considered by Assembly and Senate to
compensate the Marketing Ambassador for the 2015-2016 academic year; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be delivered to the Oshkosh Student
Association Assembly and Senate

Motion to move to floor Ultimate Frisbee club, 2nd by College Republicans
Discussion: OSA appointed her late so part of her USA Today pay was cut and feel should
compensate the marketing director on what she is doing and to continue to do

OSA 15-103
WHEREAS, The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Oshkosh Student Association (OSA)
Assembly represents the on campus clubs and organizations.
WHEREAS, The Assembly Bylaws have not been updated since September 25, 2014. While the
OSA Constitution has been updated, resulting significant changes to the powers and duties
granted to the Assembly.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the Assembly adopts the revised Assembly bylaws to
accurately reflect changes in the OSA Constitution
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED upon the passage of the Assembly bylaws they will be
transmitted to; OSA recognized clubs and organizations, OSA Senate, Dr. Petra Roter OSA
Advisor, and the OSA Executive Board.

Discussion: 5.124 run off to just another election commission and when she ran for it most
effective voting for how this bodies runs
Motion to amend by table for that meeting as it should be the duty of the speaker to
understand the resolution or ask for clarification for the body.8.4 by College Republicans
be tabled for that meeting shall be tabled until the following meeting if sponsor is not
available. 2nd by Ultimate Frisbee Club, Speaker Boothe: would recommend to vote it down
can only motion to table. Schadrie: Take away the purpose of 8.4 make sure that the
resolution and if we put that one we should just strike the 8.4. Adding cannot be here
senators may not be here or have class they can send an email and the speaker can read IT.

Discussion –
a. OSA Speaker and OSA Speaker Pro Tempore roles, criteria to run, nominations
and elections
Nominations next two meetings and then vote come in front of the body and
results released later late night, transition take over at the last meeting of this year,
if any questions for these positions email Austyn or Rae Ann. Circle K: What is
the time commitment? OSA Exec meeting on Friday making RSOT major part
lobby day rep meetings, Speaker Pro Tempore attend meetings and attendance has
them for the minutes has attended lobby days. Email Austyn or Rae Ann if you
want more information

Announcements – Nominations SLIC awards are still open encourage people to submit
nominations until April 8 at 4:30 PM, April is Asian Heritage month April 5 3:30 to 5
the Art Gallery let club members now. Pop cultural night Pagan Student 5th annual
dream shop here in Reeve 305 at 5:30 Dream interpretation and make dream catcher and
dream pillows tonight after this meeting. Optimist Club - box tops can drop up in the
SLIC and running ice cream social. NSLS induction April 24 in Reeve, ballroom, all
requirements must be in by April 8 with no excuses of why the deadline was missed.
