Officer Reports –
a. OSA Directors – Parson – incentive retirement plan age changed to 55 year plan
did not know it was on table and years of service is 10. Leadership council less
than 2 hours old plan new plan out of nowhere, time frame have to get rolling on
policy and sometimes items have to be pushed through.
b. OSA Office Manager – (Rae Ann - wetzelr@uwosh.edu) – Thanked all for
professionalism during President Cross a few weeks ago, this is the first meeting
we had quorum. I did not see any laptops or phones out.
c. OSA Advisor – (Petra – roterp@uwosh.edu) – No report
d. OSA Academic Liaison – (Crystal - buss@uwosh.edu) – vote electronic window
still open, implement mentorship with senators, Lori new HR director guest at
meeting last week and answered questions on retirement programs.
e. Speaker Pro-Tempore – (Austyn - osaspeakerpt@uwosh.edu) – tutors at this
school not open on weekends, going to work with Jordan on this issue.
f. Speaker of the Assembly – (Nicole – osaspeaker@uwosh.edu) – two nominated
for speaker and one for speaker PT
g. Vice President Pro-Tempore – (Lindsey - osavppt@uwosh.edu) – no report
h. Vice President – (Graham – osavp@uwosh.edu) – no report
i. President – (Jordan - osapres@uwosh.edu) – faculty senate working budget cuts
and tenure and shared governance, see what they have in mind, Professor Kay
O’Neal is this body wants to look into a shared resolution on the budget cuts and
public authority. Elections are today Mayor of Oshkosh, Mr. Stepanek unopposed
not supporting any candidates, Supreme Court referendum – asking for a change
in Supreme Court eldest member or longest member would take this again and
vote who the supreme justice would be. Reggie and Jordan met with legislators in
Madison their concens are budget cuts, faculty tenure and third shared governance
– not going to change just want a seat at the table. Across the board all the
legislators we met with were upset about the budget cut, tenure has been wanted
change maybe another lobby trip on April 16, final thing, if we are able to gather
a few students for advisory council do not lean either way United Council trying
to high jack meeting nine seats of students three private schools, one from two
years, or two from tech college and one from united council – student advisory
council meeting at governance meeting at 8 am in Madison. My opinion can give
email address uw student rep members one united council. Nicole: Is this a
proposal from UC? Answer: student rep would like to see but UC went behind
their back and requested the meetings.

and reaffirm our commitment to be a fair trade institution.
XI. Committee Reports –
DT while ago finalized budgets and determines what everyone is getting. Jean serves as advisor,
will need chair and secretary so anyone interested contact Jean Kwaterski or Katrina, both are
paid position. HLC met a week and a half ago Dr. Slagter, and Dean Koker the mission of the
intuition what people like the mission is of our university, leadership council meet this
Wednesday at 2:30 PM.
XII.
Discussion –
a. Odyssey program and work with others from a lecture and inclusive working on
changes, folders in binder one binder counseling. Lehto: She works at help desk,
for Odyssey give them things people go through Odyssey what they get in the
mail and log into things, what they do before Odyssey, confused students calling
all the time. Parson suggest giving general info club/org, Dean of Students.
b. OSA recognition improved. Improve vote more competitive. Marketing
committee what OSA is, going on in state voice of the student body for policies at
UW Oshkosh this year lost sight hurt. Turnbull one other route evident past
competitive elections marketing committee amazing what you do. Talking to
someone in Reeve learn about OSA. Fath: maybe create an incentive to run for
OSA Senate seats rather than be appointed. First dibs on committees. Legally
appoint freshman first come first serve what would be your preference, sign up for
ballot, only one option. What would you change at UWO campaign we could
figure that out, OSA tabling event? Speaker pro-temp freshman through. Free
food popcorn say something about OSA, yield to Thompson OSA is Oshkosh
Student Association and under it student government, gaining awareness have to
do things and let them do things care and want to do something, benefits of being
a senator.
