Guest Speakers –
a. Dean Beyer, COB – budget cuts - 18 and 22 age population scarce 5% GPE twice
that the country makes selling consulting research area and applicable directly

to the classroom, economic supply chain, data insurance and risk management,
raising college debt – population is going down, short supply and many retiring
half of operations retiring, outreach we have funded by scholarship opportunities.

President Schettle thank you for coming to the meeting, you had mentioned great

b. Shannon Olson, Chancellor’s Installation Contest – $1,000 award, all you have to
do is be an OSA registered org. OSA is paying for bus shuttle noon to 6 on
Friday continuous run until everyone have to be there by 2:30 to enter hand in
form and show is one organization that OSA registered email and phone number,
link to student id and email to Kathy and link to GPS monitor that is running back
and forth by 2:30 PM BBQ 4 to 7 Reeve and Horizon building, $12 per person
Titan Dollars or meal plan Lodel: How much is the university spending on this
ceremony, Answer: no university dollars being used. Southern BBQ $12 cash,
purchase tickets at titan central money on your cards
c. Randy Hedge, Director Reeve Memorial Union: at 100% milestone provide
comments back to state number of things had to address it will be bid out shortly

a. OSA Directors – asking professional head shoots, Sept 30th less than 2 min, great
service offered in Dempsey 3rd floor. Scheeler: academic computing computer
lab hours on Saturdays. Bourke and Will Fath legislative affairs if you have
questions on elected officials ask them. Makenzie is SLS Director – works with
on campus attorney, he helps students with legal question for $5 an issue. Multi
education coalition, umbrella BSU sisterhood open to all women and men HSU
and Hmong student Union, ASA and are located in the Women Centers behind

Excellence Ambassador, first thing challenge for everyone including at assembly

OSA Office Manager – (Rae Ann - wetzelr@uwosh.edu) – Sent sheet around for
after hour access write name and student ID number on it.
OSA Advisor – (Petra – roterp@uwosh.edu) – AVC – Enrollment Management
hired in student affairs retention and enrollment initials that budget and more
budget some contracting the work force 80 to 100 positions over the next three
years impacts students services and programs not on the academic DT and seg
fees as well conversations as the year goes on. Petra’s office is in room 148
Dempsey every week unless something going on. Sprung: Tuition for
Engineering Program: 700 dollars no communication no indication or cost of
attendance based on the dept itself. Several projects and programs that are service
based academic programs specialized accelerated. Tuition did not go up, two
students dropped their major to avoid the fee, Petra will check and get back to

Speaker of the Assembly – (Austyn – osaspeaker@uwosh.edu) – new clubs and
new org first meeting yesterday and it went well
Vice President Pro-Tempore – (vacant -) no report
Vice President – (Graham – osavp@uwosh.edu) – OSA Senate Retreat, dress
codes senate bylaws no shorts no jeans, no t-shirts, let Graham know if cannot
make it to a meeting. 4 excused in a year and ask for registration, 2 unexcused
and then ask for registration.
President – (Jordan - osapres@uwosh.edu) – State Wide UW Student Rep System
meeting this past weekend made up of all 26 presidents. Summer updates UW
System budget cut this summer unfortunate move forward with 7.4 million budget
reduction, reduce fulltime staff university staff around 80 to 100 positions in the
end of the December retirement incentive program.
