What is a sentence?
• A sentence is a group of words beginning
with a capital letter and ending with a fullstop, exclamation or question mark in
written language, containing a main verb.
• Is this a sentence?
• The young boy walked to the shop.
What is a clause?
• A clause is a part of a sentence with a
verb. However, it doesn’t have to start with
a capital letter and end with a full stop.
