Give a little, get a lot! Intro: Realising that what ever you give, God always gives twice as much in return! Demo: Have some objects, get a few children up… exchange their ‘new, cool’ objects for your old fashioned, damaged items that are worth so little – is this fair!? Talk: Even though the things I was exchanging weren’t very good, and they weren’t expensive, I was giving everything I could. God says that if we give whatever we can and try our best, we can get the greatest prize ever – a place with him in Heaven! Story (could get children to act out): The poor lady and the coin Luke 21:4 Talk: That lady in the story didn’t have a lot, but Jesus loved her just the same as the people who were giving lots and lots. Here is a picture of the Queen, she’s one of the richest people in the entire world – look at all her Jewels, she lives in HUGE palace and has lots of people to look after her. Here is a picture of a homeless person. He looks a little grubby, and hasn’t got any money at all, he doesn’t live in a Palace like the Queen, he has to make do with a cardboard box on the streets. But the good thing is, is that God loves each of these people the same. If the homeless man becomes a friend of Jesus, he can be richer than the Queen, because he will have a placed saved in Heaven, just for him! PRAY Song: ‘Love is something if you give it away’
