YEP Proposal
Instructions:
a. All sections are compulsory. For any section that is not applicable, please indicate ‘NA’.
b. Teams are to submit the completed online application form and required documents to Ms
Therese Chan at the NUS Office of Student Affairs by the Monday of the 4th week of each
academic semester.
c. Team leaders are to have attended YEP Leaders Course or have valid YEP Leaders Course
Certificate before submitting an application.
d. Applicants are advised to read the grant guidelines prior to the grant application. The grant
guidelines can be found at http://www.resourceportal.nyc.sg under ‘Grants>> Youth
Expedition Project Grant’.

(Teams are to identify 1-2 social issue(s) for their project and delve into exploring the cause, effects and solutions of such
issue(s). Teams are to learn about the issues in the local context through various channels such as research and engaging
the local community. This would set the right context for the teams’ overseas expedition project and help in their
preparation.)

projects, team should endeavour to design and implement a service-learning project which meets one of the following focus
areas: 1. raise awareness on relevant macro issues, or 2. deliver a meaningful community service for Singapore’s
beneficiaries based on their learning and understanding.)

 For team member/leader who has not completed the course, please submit the
interim course registration confirmation email that contains trainer’s name, date of
training and training cost.
 The first disbursement of the YEP grant after approval will only be made upon the
receipt of the first aid certificates or course trainer’s letter to certify 2 team
member(s)/leader(s) as qualified first aiders.
f2) First Aid Course Fee Receipts (for teams claiming for the first aid training course fee
subsidy for a maximum of 2 persons)
 Please submit a scanned copy of the 2 first aid course fee receipts at application.
Please submit the original or certified true copy of the receipts at project closure.
