Notes of items/topic that interest me within water pollution:


Polluted Runoff (Nonpoint Source Pollution) caused by large national weather storms
Urban low impact water pollution control development
Project Proposal for Water Pollution Engineering Project:
Idea 1: A tsunami creates a surge of ocean water that can engulf huge geographic areas. As the
water comes ashore, drinking water wells can become contaminated. Also, as the
ocean water withdraws from the land, the salt water then includes large amounts of
debris and other chemical contaminants. A project proposal for my water pollution
engineering project is to examine the impacts of tsunamis on water quality and the
general surroundings.

Idea 2: In areas where oil and gas development is prevalent, surface water, wells and soils
contain contaminates. Another project proposal for my water pollution engineering
project is to examine the water impacts due oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.
