Organized lecture series on Mrityunu Rahasya(The Mystry of Death)
Exhibitions, slide shows, gallery talks to those who visit the museum in the Dept
of Archeology & ancient History & culture.
Family and Community Service
 Services extended in teaching new income generating activities to enhance the
skill of the members of ‘women rehabilitation centre’
 Innovatives methods and materials used to focus the urban extension programme
on the area of communal harmony in which adolescent girls and women from
different slums of Vadodara were benefited.
 Creating HIV/aids awareness among tribal youths of nearby villages
 Imparting nutrition education among women and children of a village
 Guidance and Counseling for orphans, slum dwellers, rural population and senior
Citizen
 Workshop for aging women over 40 yrs on benefits of yoga and nutrition
Social work
 Adoption Resource Centre : During the year ARC registered 16 cases including
those for home-study report and facilitated adoption to 5 couples.
 Child Guidance Clinic (ICSW): objective to provide therapeutic services to the
children with emotional disturbance and behavioural disorders, to help children in
unfolding their capacities and potentialities , to help other institutions to develop
health services for children in the community, to promote / provide training and
rehabilitate the mentally disabled children and also to provide learning
experiences to social work students.
 CHILDLINE : a national 24 hour free phone emergency outreach service for
children in need of care and protection. Two training programme for team
members on internet operation and computer security, team building and conflict
management skills were organized

Samaj Kalyan Kendra: organized guidance and support to anganwadi workers,
remedial coaching for school going children, talk on legal aid, child marriage and
dowery for women groups etc.
 Miss Swoboda Adolescent Counselling Centre
Polytechnic
 Community Polytechnic Scheme sponsored by MHRD is working with the
objectives to train those villagers who are dropped out of regular education system
due to poor family condition or non availability of educational facilities. I also
help the villagers by providing technical support, technical knowledge and
information regarding new technologies. Various activites are carried out under

There has been 90 to 100% placement of the students in faculties and journalism
management and social work. Various companies approach Faculty of Technology
and Engineering and Faculty of Science. Students are sent to various industries for
legal guidance support and thereby get placement there and there itself at times.
