The current design of the 130 Transaction Set begins with the ability for an end user to enter an EDI transcript request on the Transcript Request option (TRRQ) of Colleague. The user can then run Student Requests process (STRQ) and based on the type of request, the process will create a flat file of student transcripts data. The flat file is then uploaded to the Harbinger TrustedLink software for X12 transmission. The upload from Colleague to Harbinger can occur by using an FTP process. When the transcript is received by the other institution, an acknowledgement (transaction set 131) is sent back to the sending institution. This process will be handled through a flat file to the Harbinger software and then a second FTP process to bring it into Colleague and update the acknowledgement date field on the TRRQ screen.
