AN ALGORITHM TO ADDRESS A LOCATION MARGINAL PRICING PROBLEM IN SMART GRIDS Anurag Panwar, Sriram Chellappan Department of Computer Science Missouri University of Science and Technology Rolla, Missouri 65401 Email: ap337@mst.edu, chellaps@mst.edu ABSTRACT Smartgrid is one of the very important topic in production and distribution industry of electricity. Various algorithms has been proposed to solve the location marginal pricing problem in smart grids. Technically, location marginal pricing is a voluntary, bid-based, security-constrained, economic dispatch market that determines energy and transmission congestion prices at specific points based on marginal generation costs. In this paper, we are proposing algorithm to deal with the LMP problem in smart grids. It is efficient in running time and giving good results.
