Specific Job Description: The Regional Sales Director leads the sales efforts for commercial communications satellites and solutions to satellite operators within the Europe, Africa, Middle East region. They are responsible for developing relationships and understanding needs with existing and potential customers. Directs the analysis of existing and anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of company products and services to fill such requirements. Responsible for the preparation and implementation of sales plans and campaigns, business plans, and product development plans. Investigates new applications or improvements to products. Provides marketing intelligence to sales management and participates in the development of sales forecasts and strategies. Required Skills: Must be adept in the sales process. Candidate must significant experience in a successful sales role and with building trusted adviser relationships at high levels Must possess social and business acumen for operating in the international marketplace Excellent relationship building skills both within Lockheed Martin and with external customers/agencies Demonstrated ability to interact, influence and communicate with executive leadership during formal reviews, as well as ongoing information communications Experience interfacing and communicating with technical teams and within the supply chain Exhibit high levels of persistence, proactive, superior attention to detail, project management, and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills, reliability and sound judgment Passion for personal accountability, achievement, learning and continual improvement Ability to articulate complex issues into succinct, cohesive summaries and presentations High energy, self-managed, hands-on, strong interpersonal, oral and written communications and organization skills Willingness to travel internationally Desired Skills/Experience Experience with foreign governments and military Program Management experience MBA Engineering or Technical degree Competitive analysis and strategic planning experience Standard Job Description: Responsible for the sale of company products and/or services to assigned accounts or within a given territory.
