Course Objectives
1. to learn thematic vocabulary and appropriate grammar in World Languages.
2. to obtain a basic understanding and appraise the historical, social, cultural and qualities of each
culture
Materials: Introduction to World Language textbook and a 3-ring notebook with 4 dividers
*Your notebook should have the following sections:
1. Vocabulary 2. Notes
3. Study Guide
4. Class Work

Late/Make up work/tests:
Students are responsible for requesting assignments and tests missed due to legal absences.
Late work will only be accepted in two weeks after the due date, but will be marked down 10%.
Hall Passes:

You will receive 3 hall passes each semester, so use them wisely!
You must present a pass in order to go to the bathroom.
You may save the passes for credits by end of each semester.
Tests:
-
Quizzes will come directly from homework, class work or from previous class lessons.
Comprehensive tests and project will be given at the end of each chapter.
A comprehensive final exam will be given at the end of the semester.

*Grades are determined by the following scale:

A = 90%-100%
B = 80% - 89%
C = 70% -79%
D = 60% - 69%
F = 59% or below

Be polite (respect the teacher, class materials, fellow classmates, and yourself!)
Do not speak while a teacher is speaking or while another student is speaking
Be prepared (come to class with all necessary materials!)
Be seated immediately when the bell rings
Do not leave your seat without permission
Raise your hand for any question and wait to be called
No gum, no food or drinks (except water)
Clean up after yourself
Do not write on textbooks or workbooks
Do not write or carve on desks
Do not take any teacher’s book out of classroom without permission
Any kind of cheating is prohibited
