Program Learning Outcomes
The following outcomes will be used to assess a selection of final portfolios from
Creative Writing classes at the end of each semester:

Reads and Responds critically to writing in and about a variety of genres.

Recognizes and comments effectively on how genre specific elements of craft
impact the work of published writers and the work of peers.

Demonstrates respect for the advice of peers as evidenced in thoughtful and
substantive revision of original work.
