CLASSROOM RULES

2014-2015

1.

Students are expected to be seated in their assigned seats when the bell rings, and immediately begin working on the Bell Work assignment on the board. There will be instructions on the board every day when students enter the classroom.

2.

Bring required books and materials to every class, unless told otherwise by the teacher.

3.

Treat everyone and their property respectfully.

4.

Follow all the guidelines as set forth in the student handbook. No cell phones or electronics devices unless told otherwise by the teacher.

Consequences for choosing not to follow the above rules:

1 st Offense: a verbal warning will be given.

2 nd Offense: parental contact.

3 rd Offense: referral and sent to the principal’s office.

Good behavior will be rewarded as follows:

1.

If the entire class follows theses rules and regulations, a special activity or privilege will be rewarded to the class.

2.

For individuals, a positive call or note home to the parents and other in-class privileges will be given.

Q u u i i i z z e s

We will have approximately 4 quizzes each nine week period.

We will take 2-3 exams per 9 week grading period. Students that earn less than 70% must retake the exams until they reach a minimum of 70%, Over 70% may choose to retake or not. There are requirements in order to retake exams and quizzes. Please see the “Reassessment Procedures below” They will be strictly followed.

Students have the option to retakes tests and quizzes until they are pleased with their grade, but they must complete a series of steps in order to take the retest.

1. A checklist style document must be sent home, signed by parent or guardian and returned to teacher.

2. Student must have assignments turned in leading up to the original test date.

3. Tutorials are mandatory. A minimum of two tutorial sessions for exams and one tutorial session for quizzes.
