ONLINE and PRIMARY SOURCES
You need one source from a database and one primary source for your research paper.
Databases:
If you are in the library, you will have to check out a computer using your ID.
1. Go to RHS homepage
2. Select the “Library” tab
3. Select “Online Databases School Access”
4. Select “EBSCOhost”
5. Choose the “EBSCOhost Web” option
6. Select a database that matches the topic you are researching. If you are unsure, select “Academic
Search Complete”.
7. Before entering search terms, check the “full text” box.
8. Enter your search terms (if you are searching a person: lastname, firstname).
Primary Sources:
Go to : www.loc.gov
Enter your search terms
Citation help: online databases have an option in the right margin of the screen to “cite” the article that
you are using. Click on it and select MLA format.
Use the blue page in your packet to complete the citation for your primary source by using the guidelines
for a webpage.
