Intern Position for Santa Barbara City Council Campaign
Come join the grassroots campaign to elect Jason Dominguez for Santa Barbara City Council – First
District. This is an exciting time in local politics with district elections taking place for the first time in
over 50 years. The First District includes the Eastside, East Beach, Funk zone, Downtown and Waterfront
areas.
The City Council election is a non-partisan race so we are looking for enthusiastic interns that are
focused on solving problems for the community. Working directly with the campaign manager and
candidate, the campaign intern will be involved in all aspects of the campaign with a focus on
coordinating the voter outreach program. This position will require approximately 10-20 hours per
week through November 3rd. This is a great opportunity to get hands on experience and develop
valuable leadership and project management skills.
Responsibilities include:

Coordinate voter outreach program, including planning events and coordinating volunteers
Plan campaign fundraising events
Participate in campaign strategy decisions
Develop campaign materials
Communicate with donors and voters
Maintain required documentation of campaign activities
Other tasks as assigned
Desired Skills:

High degree of professionalism
Organized and detailed oriented
Spanish language skills desired
Experience leading and managing projects
Enthusiastic and positive attitude
