Objective: The student will create a PowerPoint explaining the 3 branches of
government and their importance. The student will add clip art and text to the slides.
The PowerPoint will be shared with the class when they are completed.
Creating the PowerPoint Slides:
 Open a new PowerPoint document.
 Insert a text box for any text that will be displayed on the slide.
 Move the text box to the desired location on the slide.
 Continue adding slides and text as needed.
Inserting a Background for the Slides:
 Go to the menu bar and choose Format- background.
 Use the drop down arrow in the box and choose more colors.
 Choose the color for your slides by clicking on the desired color.
 Click the button that says Apply to all slides.
Inserting Clip Art:
 Go to the menu bar and select “Insert”.
 From the drop down box, choose picture, clip art.
 Type the picture topic in the “search for clips” bar.
 Click on the picture that you want to use.
 Select the insert clip box.
 Move your picture to the desired location on the slide.
