ORGANIZE THE DIGESTIVE COMPONENTS OF THE HUMAN BODY:
Description of activity:
1. Previously – draw and cut out labeled (main) human digestive components
a. Make sure they are comparable/proportional in size
b. Put a piece of tape at the top of each organ/structure
2. Upon entering class, hand each student one organ/structure
3. Have students tape their digestive parts in order on the board or wall
4. Check to make sure the system is in correct order
Questions for discussion:
1. What happens to food after you eat it?
2. How does food get into a useable form?
3. What happens to food after an animal eats it?
4. Do all mammals have the same digestive parts?
5. Why would different animals have different digestive systems?
