Harlem Renaissance allowed African American artists, writers and musicians to show what they could do.
Sports were beginning. Red Grange – football and Babe
Ruth – baseball
People now had money and free time. A new idea called “installment buying” was created.
Cars – Henry Ford started building with the assembly line. Because of mass production the costs were kept down. Many could afford a car.
Appliances – Washers, dryers, radios, and other conveniences were now available.
