Observing – Using one or more of your senses to gather information. (sight, hearing, touch, taste, and
smell)
Quantitative Observations – observations dealing with amounts/numbers
Qualitative Observations - observations dealing with evaluation of the senses…NOT numbers.
Inferring – explain or interpret things you observe.
Predicting – make a forecast of what will happen in the future based on past experiences.
Classifying – process of grouping together items that are alike in
some way
