Bibliographer for Latin America, Spain & Portugal, Collection Development, University of Georgia
Libraries, Athens, Georgia, (half-time) 2003-present:
Responsible for acquiring library materials to support the University’s academic programs focusing on
Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Provide bibliographic instruction and research assistance for
students and faculty.
Media Archives Cataloger, Walter J. Brown Media Archives & Peabody Awards Collection, University of
Georgia Libraries, Athens, Georgia, July 2000-present (half-time 2003-present).
Responsible for providing access to the collections housed in the Walter J. Brown Media Archives &
Peabody Awards Collection through traditional cataloging and through creation of web-accessible
databases. Co-supervise student assistants assigned to the cataloging unit. NACO and OCLC Enhance
program participant (through 2003). Contribute to the mission of the Archives, and the Libraries as a
whole, by actively participating in the development and evaluation of policies and services, serving on
appropriate departmental and Libraries' committees, and maintaining an awareness of changes in the
organization and the university community, as well as through participation in continuing education
programs, professional development activities, and professional organizations.

As recipient of an American Library Association - United States Information Service Library Fellowship
funded by the Fulbright-Hays Act, consulted with the professional staff of the Library System of the
Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras (UNAH) to catalog to AACR2r standards and automate on
MicroISIS the Honduran national bibliography maintained by the System. Steamlined and documented
departmental procedures. Shifted and weeded the collection. Supervised staff of 6 FTE. Taught seminars on
cataloging, controlled vocabulary indexing, and automation principles.
United States Forest Service, INFOSouth, Athens, Georgia, September 1990-September 1992.
Completed two minimal level cataloging projects for the United States Department of Agriculture, Forest
Service, INFOSouth. Subject matter of records was forestry and recreation. Cataloged approximately 3500
publications. Successfully completed all requirements of both contracts. Work performed was
accomplished as a subcontractor.
