Word Choice Our country just wants everything right away. But that shouldn’t mean that doctors should just give pills out Admittedly, we are a country in want of instant gratification – in every situation, for every issue. However, this does not warrant the misuse and abuse of medication by medical professionals nationwide – be they psychiatrists, pediatricians, or family physicians. Even though they are in a hurry and it costs big bucks, you still have to do the right thing. A doctor can’t just write a prescription and say good-bye, or just do what the patient asks. Hurdles such as time constraints and money limitations must be dealt with appropriately. A physician should not issue a prescription and send a patient on their way, nor should they succumb to the demands of an uninformed, prospective patron.
