Course Description

American Government is a survey of origins and functions of the government of the United States of

America and Arizona. This course will also examine issues of current significance as they relate to the curriculum.

William A. McClenaghan

 Notebook: You must have A Government notebook and bring it to every class, this will be used frequently.

 You: Be here, be prepared to use your mind and learn about your government.

Grading Policy

All grades are given as part of a point system.

Every assignment and quiz is given a certain value, see the Homework Policy below. Every test will be worth 80 points. Below is the grading scale. You will be given regular updates on your grade

A = 90 - 100%

B = 80 – 89%

C = 70 – 79%

D = 60 – 69%

Consequences for Behavior, Attendance, or Academic Issues
