ADVANCE STUDIO IN ART SHMERYKOWSKY Agenda: Learning to SEE and not assume what you know. Learning to ‘warm up’ your eyes for life drawing. NAME/PD:___________________________ Learning from one another to advance weaker skills. Working towards improvement on your art work. Aim: How can a grid help me pay closer attention to what I am drawing? Directions: 1. Take a minute to look at the image below. Notice how it is in a GRID. 2. In the empty box below, DRAW the BASIC shapes you SEE. 3. Pay attention to the GRID. EACH box should have the SAME shape in it. 4. After you have found ALL the basic shapes, LOOK at the VALUE (A gradual changes from light to dark) 5. Work within each box and pay CLOSE attention to how the shadows change. 6. Start LIGHTLY with your pencils and GRADUALLY develop the darkness of the value. 7. DETAILS are always last.
