Evidence of Understanding
The evidence of understanding grid is a useful strategy to both keep track of student progress and to
keep track of assessment for learning and the next steps a teacher can take to deepen student
understanding. The grid also alerts teachers to ways that they can provide further opportunities for
students to demonstrate their understanding.
