It will also demonstrate the potential for the tablet PC in challenging assessment areas such as scientific nomenclature, mathematical formulae and diagramming. The technologies used by the distance lecturer are changing. For example, paper and pen is being replaced with keyboard and personal computer. Recent innovation in paper-like technologies such as Tablet PCs allows the distance lecturer to use a pen input to annotate students’ assignments directly with their feedback.
