What has happened since you met February 15? This class and other classes? After school activities? What questions do you have about life or academics in the other country?
III. PRESENTING FOR FEEDBACK 1 8.20/20.20 (Örebro) || 9.20-11.20 am (Stanford) 40 min
Activity : Upload the concept ad or the picture that you have brought onto the whiteboard in your
Marratech room. In the next 40 minutes you will present to each other, taking turns and offering feedback on the presentations. (In other words, spend 20 minutes per side; keep time for your group.) Imagine that the other side is a group of international business consultants or marketing experts. Stanford students will be pitching their concept ads to the Swedish students. Swedish students will present research on intercultural issues to the Stanford students. Please listen actively and provide feedback on the projects using the following rubric:
* What was especially interesting or compelling about this subject?
* What additional questions were raised from your cultural perspective?
* What did you learn about adaptation to a new cultural situation or about the importance of intercultural competence?
IV. REFLECTING 19.00/21.00 (Örebro) || 10.00/ 12.00 am ( Stanford) 10 min
Collaborative Group Work
Activity: Take five minutes as a group, in each country, to reflect on what you learned today and to compose a message on the whiteboard that you will then cut and paste on the CCR blog for the other half of your team to read. Reflect on the following:
What did you learn about intercultural communication and global rhetoric across cultures?
What feedback was most helpful to you?
What was the best part of this connection? What can we improve for next time?
What closing words do you have for your team members across the world?
