at King’s for PhD/doctoral students for the 2015-16 academic year1.
HOME/EU
 London Arts & Humanities Partnership Doctoral Training Programme PhD Studentships
(AHRC)
Up to 80 PhD studentships will be offered for postgraduate research students studying in the Arts
and Humanities at LAHP’s three partner institutions: King's College London, School of Advanced
Study (University of London) and University College London. Applications are invited from students
who are due to commence their PhD studies in 2015-16, and those who will have at least 50% of
their period of study remaining on the 1st of October 2015.

 Economic & Social Research Council Studentships (ESRC)
Up to 20 studentships will be offered for postgraduate students undertaking research in social
sciences at the King’s Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Doctoral Training Centre (KISS-DTC).
Applications are invited for three-year doctoral studentships and four-year studentships for
candidates for a Masters degree leading directly to a PhD.
We welcome applications from candidates whose research is situated within any of the 15 themes of
the KISS-DTC; more information on recommended Masters and PhD programmes can be found at

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
 Graduate School International Research Studentship – Arts & Humanities
One fully-funded three year PhD studentship will be available for a student applying to any research
degree programme in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities from any non-EU/UK fee paying country

starting in the 2015/16 academic year. The award will cover 100% of tuition fees and provide a taxfree stipend paid on a monthly basis.

 King’s-China Scholarship Council PhD Scholarship Programme
For 2015-16, King’s will be co-funding 10 scholarships as part of the King’s-China Scholarship
Council PhD Scholarship programme. Applications who are due to commence their PhD studies in
2015-16, and those who are currently in their first year of their PhD studies are eligible to apply.

 King’s Canada Scholarship
One fully-funded three-year PhD studentship open to applicants from Canada. The award will cover
100% of tuition fees and provide a tax-free stipend paid on a monthly basis.

 King’s Accession Scholarship
One award open to applicants from Turkey. The award covers difference between home/EU &
international fee.

 King’s South East Asia Scholarship
One fully-funded three-year PhD studentship open to new students starting in 2015-16 from South
Korea (Republic of Korea), Japan, Thailand and Malaysia. The award will cover 100% of tuition fees
and provide a tax-free stipend paid on a monthly basis.
