Project Timelines
Student Wellness Complex
The envelope on the north and west sides has been completed. Once the entire envelope is finished, dry-walling will begin.
The exterior of the building may not be finished until after the inside is completed.

Biological Sciences Building
The furniture is in. Labs will start moving this week and offices will start moving next week.
4.
Science & Engineering Remedial Work
Currently removing scaffolding and cleaning the area. With the exception of landscaping, the project will be completed by the end of the month.

Dining Facility
The project is moving along well. The building shell is up and the masonry work is 99% complete. Occupancy is scheduled for August 2012.
NE Connector Road/Lot 34
The underground utilities are complete. The parking lot should be finished by the end of the month. The road should be completed by mid-April.
The new shuttle route is scheduled to start in the summer.

Confucius Institute
Everett will follow up regarding the need to provide a written proposal for space.
The old OCT space in Building 3 may work for the institute’s needs.
8.
Housing Maintenance Building
The project is on schedule. The cast in place walls are being tilted this week. The steel is scheduled to arrive next week.
9.
OneJax
The OneJax board has approved the organization becoming an institute of the University.
The institute will move into the former Graduate School space in UNF Hall. The
Intercultural Center for PEACE will also move into the space. One CPSR will be submitted for both groups.
10.
High Ropes Course
The trees are being cleared this week. The company that provides the structure will be on campus next week to lay out the course. ADA accessibility review and the premanufactured storage buildings will be completed after installation of the course.
The course will be located between UNF Drive and Lake Oneida.
Completion is scheduled in 2½ months.
11.
Hammer and Throws Area
The cage has been ordered.
The hammer and throws area and the shot put area should be finished by the end of April.
12.
Health Promotion – Temporary Space Request
Shelly Purser was present to request temporary space in the former OCT area to accommodate several programs currently scheduled. This space will be needed only until the Student Wellness and Sports Education building is completed.
Everett Malcolm motioned to allow Health Promotion to use the former OCT Space until the Student Wellness and Sports Education building is complete. The motion was seconded by Newton Jackson and was approved by the committee.
13.
Academic Affairs Requests
Newton Jackson made a request to move the Rat Lab from Building 10 to Building 4. No modifications would need to be made. This would not impact the other users in the building. A CPSR needs to be submitted.
The Psychology Department has requested moving the rest of the Psychology faculty into building 51 so that the entire department would be together. A CPSR needs to be submitted.
Undergraduate Studies has expressed an interest in moving to a bigger space in anticipation of the department growing. This will be discussed at a later meeting.
14.
Education Building: DRC, OCT, Veterans Services and Leadership Institute Offices
Everett Malcolm discussed the need for lighting on the sidewalk adjacent to the road. A change order has been issued and the work will be completed as soon as possible.
The lock issues are being addressed.
15.
MLK Statue
The base has been poured. The pedestal is currently being formed and should be completed in the next 2 weeks.
The statue will be up before the February 28 dedication.
