1st - Deadline for eligible faculty members notify their Chairs of candidacy for
promotion and/or tenure and forward list of external references
30th – Deadline for faculty to submit request for deferred payment option to HR
July
1st – Start of new Fiscal Year
3rd – Independence Day Holiday, no classes
15th – Deadline to e-mail annual performance evaluations to department faculty
members. Tenure-appraisals should also be electronically transmitted for tenureearning faculty members.
15th – Strategic plan and results should be completed for 2014-15
31st – Commencement – 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
August
If not using the FAIR SAVE system for departmental faculty scholarship
reporting, Dean’s office responsible for submitting College Scholarship Report to
Academic Affairs (submit to Marianne Jaffee)
3rd -- ALC and GALC improvement plans are finalized and implemented for the
coming academic year.
3rd – Academic year appointments begin for 9-month faculty
4th – Final grades for Summer B & C terms posted to MyWings
Grades are due from Faculty by 10:00
10th – 13th – New Faculty Orientation
24th – Classes Begin
28th - Remind faculty of the need to have Summer FAR completed and signed by
Friday September 4th.

For programs doing ALC and GALC assessment on academic year or summer
graduation year cycles, chairs hold department meetings to discuss ALC
assessment results from the prior year. Results and interpretation are finalized in
TracDat (as Results and Evaluation), as are specific improvement plans (as
Actions Taken and Follow-up).
Vita/scholarship data should be continually updated into the FAIR SAVE system.
7th – Labor Day, no classes
TBD – Fall Convocation (Lazzara Hall 10:00 am)
Mid-September – Strategic Plan (actions) modified (alterations, additions,
deletions) where appropriate for 2015-2016 in TracDat.
14th – Candidates for promotion and tenure submit dossiers to Chairs
Chair adds external letters to dossier (P&T Timeline 2015-16)
25th – Due date for submission of departmental letters of recommendation for
promotion and tenure candidates; Chair provides a copy to the candidate(s) who
may, within five days, respond in writing to the letters (P&T Timeline 2015-16)
October
Early October – Deadline for AA development grants (teaching, research, and
proposal development).
9th (APPROX) – Completed applications for one semester full pay sabbaticals
with recommendations from the Chair and Dean are due in the Office of
Academic Affairs by 5:00 p.m.
9th (APPROX) – Completed applications for two semester half pay sabbaticals
are due in the College Dean’s Office by 5:00 p.m.
Mid-October – Deadline to apply for Transformational Learning Opportunity
grants in Undergraduate Studies.
