whether you are a student or in the world of work, it is never too early to start using them for
careers. In this session you will learn how you can use professional online networks to your
advantage in your careers research, and job search. This session is being delivered with LinkedIn.

Do you want to find out more about working in a European and International Policy? Then we highly
encourage you to come along to our sector insight panel session. You will hear directly from a range
of professionals about what it is like to work in these areas, including how they got to where they
are now, what they do day-to-day, and what their organisations look for in graduates. You will get
the opportunity to ask them your own questions.

Working in the UN
Thursday 11th February 16.00- 17.00 K6.07
This talk will cover what it's like to work for the UN and how the recruitment process works. It will be
delivered by former student and UN employee Sarah Marshall. After a first career as an Army
Officer, Sarah started working for the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) five years ago
and is currently on study leave to undertake a Masters at KCL. During her time working for the UN
she has been based in Sudan, Libya for the emergency response to the 2011 uprising and latterly
Afghanistan and Syria.
