Ohio Rev. Code §3707.10 (2001), Disinfection of house in which there has been a contagious disease § 3707.10 Disinfection of house in which there has been a contagious disease. When a person affected with yellow fever, typhus fever, or diphtheria has recovered and is no longer liable to communicate the disease to others, or has died, the attending physician shall furnish a certificate of the recovery or death to the board of health of the city or general health district. As soon thereafter as the board considers it advisable, its health commissioner shall thoroughly disinfect and purify the house and contents of the house in which the affected person has been ill or has died, in accordance with the rules adopted by the department of health.
