The Otterbein University Faculty Collaborative International Enrichment Grant is designed to expand faculty members’ international learning, awareness, and experience, both for the potential enhancement of the curriculum and for their intellectual enrichment. Although global learning can be meaningfully addressed in a local or broader national context, the purpose of these grants involves the travel, collaboration, and immersion of a team in a context outside of the United States. Methods might include Faculty Scholar Series, Common Hour, or other venues described in your proposal and approved by the Faculty Scholar Development Committee. BUDGET: 2 Provide an itemized budget using the University Budget From as well as a narrative that reflects the total project budget and all funding sources. Disclosure of the application and use of other funds is required. All money granted must be spent by the agreed upon end date of the award. Retroactive expenses will NOT be considered. If applicable, please also explain if you will need external funding and where you intend to seek it. Specify and explain revisions to the proposed program in the event that full funding is not available. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (PRE-AWARD AND POST-AWARD) APPLICATION CHECKLIST: Proposal narratives should be single spaced, in 11 point font. Use the budget table provided to state expenditures needed for the project. Attach a BRIEF current vita for each team member (two page limit). All information must be in electronic format. All proposals must be submitted to fsdc@otterbein.edu by 5:00 p.m. on the deadline. FINAL REPORTS or RESULTS from scholarly projects are due to fsdc@otterbein.edu by 5:00 p.m. on September 30. For the application to be considered, the applicant must have submitted a written final report on all previously awarded FSDC Grants. Send reports to fsdc@otterbein.edu. Note: If you are awarded on FSDC grant and for any reason cannot use it, you must notify the Committee Chair immediately. Failure to do so may impact future funding. 3
