Whereas, for the 2014-2015 Academic Year, Ithaca College instituted a Printing
Management Policy to encourage sustainability and reduce wasteful printing,
Whereas, students are provided with only $10 every semester semester (Aug
11, 2014 – Jan 1, 2015 & Jan 2 – May 17, 2015) which is approximately 142
double-sided pages per semester
Whereas, students all across Ithaca College have to print hundreds of pages of
paper for class reading material, assignments, and forms each semester.
Whereas, this policy as it stands now inhibits students’ abilities to achieve
academic success without adding an additional cost to an already expensive
educational institution
Whereas, students across campus are extremely concerned and bothered
about this policy
Whereas, this creates one less attractive feature to potential students and
current students
Whereas, it is unfair to the overall student body that students with office jobs
and who are in the Honors Program still receive free printing
It is resolved that, that the Ithaca College Student Government Association
formally recommends to the Ithaca College Administration that this printing
management policy is immediately reevaluated.
It is further resolved that, that the Ithaca College Student Government
Association works with the Ithaca College Administration, Facility, and Staff
Members to create a new Printing Management Policy.
