Whereas, it is Ithaca College’s responsibility to provide a well-rounded
educational experience for all students,
Whereas, many students like to take advantage of the opportunity to study
abroad during their undergraduate career at Ithaca College,
Whereas, students may select from Ithaca’s satellite campuses, affiliated
programs, and non-affiliated programs to study abroad,
Whereas, if a student selects a non-affiliated program, he or she must pay a
fee and take a leave of absence with only federal financial aid carrying over for that
respective semester,
Whereas, Ithaca College currently has seven affiliated programs,
It is resolved that, the Ithaca College Student Government Association
formally recommends to the Office of International Programs to look into
establishing more affiliated programs to give students more financially feasible
options for Ithaca College students to study abroad.
