Thank you for taking the time to e-mail me; I greatly appreciate your help. I'm sorry to hear that you have this issue, but since it is still relatively early in the semester I would suspect that it would be possible to arrange for some type of independent study/directed readings course for 2 credit hours. This issue does come up periodically, although it is clearly noted in the catalog description of MATH 045 that these credits do not count toward graduation, and it should also appear that way on your academic transcript (which you can access through Banner Self-Service). I'd direct you to the correct catalog page but it seems the ECU website is not operating at this time. At any rate, send me a note and let me know the outcome of your meeting with Dr. Mathews. I am sure that you and Dr. Mathews will be able to come up with a plan to make this work for Spring graduation. If not, then we will work from there. Hope you had a good weekend. Unaware that certain classes do not count towards graduation, I was just informed that I am short of two credit hours from graduating this May. I found this surprising because I had already filled out my senior summary and was told that everything was in line for me to graduate on time. I have an appointment tomorrow to discuss this with my advisor, Holly Mathews, but I felt it was necessary to notify you as well to see what I can do in order for me to still be able to graduate this spring. I have attached the e-mail from Doris Thomas down below, which was also sent to my advisor this afternoon. I really appreciate your time and your help. Thank you.
