ICEE 3901, 3903, 3905 Undergraduate Research in Engineering Required Texts: As required by research topic Course Objectives: Upon completion of this course, students shall be able to: Demonstrate the ability to state a research problem. Develop a realistic plan of investigation. Conduct a literature search of the state of the art. Design and conduct an experiment or develop and test a design. Document and present result in a presentation and a written report Course Outline: Identify area of research and faculty mentor. Develop research proposal including state of the art, facilities required, project plan, and milestones. Complete (2) interim reports and submit based on schedule established by mentor. Conduct design and / or investigation as planned. Document results and develop a final report and presentation. . Grading Policy and Assignments: Students will be evaluated based on the combination of class activities.
