Meeting date: May 3, 2013
Call to order:
A special meeting of the Associated Student Organization, was held at Los Angeles Mission
College, Sylmar, CA, May 3, 2013, in the ASO Conference Room. The meeting convened at
10:09am.
Members in attendance:

Closed at 10:11am.
New Business:
-ASO Elections: Regarding the violations made during the elections between Randy Gamez
and Adam Brown.
Randy Gamez: Within 50 feet of a polling space.
*Claims he has been using this space a campaign place because believes it was not a polling
area. Randy Gamez did tell the students how to vote, but never told the students to vote for him
specifically.
Adam Brown: Had stacks of fliers in the Math Lab and was also within 50 feet of polling places.
He also brought non-students to campaign for him on campus. Adam Brown had also given
misinformation to students voting by telling them that voting closed at 4pm when it really closed
at 7pm. Along with these allegations Adam Brown's mother attempted to harass Randy Gamez
by illegally recording him and slandering him.
*Claims that on the website it said voting closed at 4pm East Coast time and mixed them up.
His fliers were stamped and says that there were no non-students campaigning for him and also
the Academic Senate President was only there to talk to his mother.
-Polling was open 10am Wednesday to 7pm Thursday.
1am-7pm 1% voters.
7am-12pm 2% voters.
2pm-5pm 30% voters.
5pm-8pm 42% voters
9pm-1am 23% voters.
Marcelo Rodriguez motion for a 5 minute recess at 10:41am.
Back into order at 10:51am.
**Elections committee recommended that both Randy Gamez and Adam Brown are disqualified
from the election due to these allegations.
Doleatha Young motion to disqualify both Randy Gamez and Adam Brown from the election.
Motion carried.
