John Cabot University Student Government Social Event Report Event: ROMECOMING 2012, “MOVIE NIGHT” When: THURSDAT SEPTEMBER 27, 2012. FROM 08:00 PM – 10:00 PM Where: TIBER CAMPUS CAFFETTERIA Attendance: NOT MANY PEOPLE ATTENDED THE EVENT. Guests: OPENED TO STUDY ABROADS, CURRENT STUDENTS , FACULTY AND STAFF MEMBERS. Purpose: The Movie Night with the screening of the movie “The Eagle” was purposely addressed to attract study abroad student, along with the degree seeking students, showing some elements of the ancient Roman culture. The movie should have provided a link between study abroad students and the city of Rome as well as a good opportunity to get together with current students, faculty and staff members. The events should have created a stronger sense of community within the university. Details: Few people attended the event. The event was stopped during the screening because of the bed quality of the audio. Expenditures: Popcorn and soda. Media: Outcomes: Unfortunately the event did not have a good turnout in terms of presences. The bed quality of the audio created a very loud noise and it was very hard to listen to the dialogues of the movie.
