Welcomed Melissa Crouse, new student member.
Update on Cody Lonning who has determined that he is unable to serve on the DTF
Dianne facilitated a 20 minute discussion of the following question based on the Brett
Sokolow course, Crafting a Code of Conduct: The Art of Writing Policies and
Procedures:
● Do you agree with the premise of the Millennial opportunity? Why?
Andi continued to review how the Code is administered:
- shared a copy of a Contract of Accountability
- process when there is lack of agreement between the student and the conduct
officer 1) negotiate a modification or 2) appeal. The appeal goes to a board
made up of faculty, staff and students who hear the case. The student may
appeal this step for procedural reasons only. Generally this appeal is directed to
someone in the President’s Office.
Andi and Monique will share data from 2006-07 in two weeks.
Next week we will examine our existing Code.
