Speaker (5H40.27) Location: 4-1R Concept/Purpose: Force on Current Wires Procedure/Explanation: A small coil is connected to the output of a tape deck-amplifier. The coil is placed up against various objects (lasagna pan, Wendy's biggie cup, newspaper, etc.) and held in place by hand or a piece of tape. A neodymium magnet is held close to the coil. This starts the coil oscillating which in turn oscillates the object the coil is in contact with, creating a crude but effective speaker.
